So we got the studio this week starting 18th
February to start on the production for the raven. We spent most of it putting
the studio up and then prepping it stripping it and painting it. It was fun
starting from this point and having the opportunity to see how the set comes
together. I Zac, Ben and Lauren came in to measure the set and we taped it
ready for the next day of putting the studio up. It was a real valuable
experience getting to do this and see how a set is put together and I very much
enjoyed getting hands on with this process and felt that between me and Steve
who is the joiner for the university did a great and quick job of getting it
done, giving everybody time to prepare the walls so it could be dressed the
next week. It still hard to get a feel for the space and how it will look when
it is done and the space I will have to work in and the layout of the set. I
think Lauren knows how she wants it to look but it would be nice to see it more
on paper or have it explained as it is hard to conceptualise how I can light it
or where I can take shots from. Next week will be spent prepping the set for
dressing and it is planned to be done by Wednesday so hopefully I will be able
to get in and light it as I think it is going to take a lot of testing to get
the look I want.
