Learning to see. shot composition

This is a really good page that charts techniques for photography composition. This is something I have been looking a lot at lately as I think being able to understand composition as whole will prove hugely useful for both film and photography as being able to see a shot before you even take it is a great asset to have as both a photographer and cinematographer and I believe that the more you know the greater you can see the shot and understand the structure of framing and composition and how it effects how the audience see and read the piece and how they are drawn to the area you want them to see. As well as this I have been looking at lighting techniques as these both complement each other in terms of using the lighting to bring in to focus the area you want the audience to see as well as how the shot is framed is also very important for how a piece can even portray a character and their thinking, attitudes, actions and thoughts. So I would say with this and more studies into composition will prove incredibly instrumental to furthering my cinematography ability as well as my photography ability.
