Article about how to candle light
I found this very interesting site about methods for
lighting a candle lit scene that has really inspired some of my thinking one of
my main worries was how to create a candle lit effect while ensuring enough
light is in the scene. One of the worries I have is that having 4 walls means
that is very hard to lights and lights actually in the scene. One of the things
I have been insisting on from the start is only really using natural lights in
terms of only using LED candles although I know that will not entirely light
the scene I’m hopeful that with a light coming from the window which I will
diffuse through the curtains and a blue gel to make it look like the light is
the moon. I am hopeful that this light will be cast across the back of him and
will create a nice blue fill light that will complement the flickering orange
of the light hitting his face. I hope there will be enough light coming from
the LED candles that will create an interesting shadow effect across his face.
But until we have all the candles and the set up and ready I won’t be able to
tell this. So hopefully will get some time in the studio to thoroughly light
it.
