light meter readings
This is one of the many articles I have read about how to
use light meters to get the correct exposure for film making. This is something
I’ve been reading a lot about lately as I want to get efficient at getting the
correct exposures for film. One of the main things I have been trying to read
about is how to do reflective light meter readings as they are harder than the
incident light meter readings that I have been doing for a while and feel more
confident in doing. I feel I am still learning this but the more I do it the
better I think the readings I am getting are so hopefully this will be
replicated by ensuring I attain the correct exposures. One of the things this
and another article I read on no-film school highlighted was how to apply the
zone method of exposing for reflective meter readings this idea works by
picturing the image as black and white and considering the black areas, the
white areas and the grey areas and considering the reflective reading from
there. I want to ensure that I apply the techniques when preparing to light and
shoot a film from now on to ensure I always get the exposures correctly.
